Job Description:
The Central Marketing position is responsible for demand creation for National Semiconductor products through National’s campaign promotions to National's Worlwide Marketing & Sales (sales & FAE) staff as well as a broad base of customers. The most important ability for this position is the capability to work with multiple product lines to understand the various products and launch schedules to synthesize promotional messages consistent with the campaign promotions. Home location for this position will be Santa Clara, with frequent travel required.
The demand creations strategies will include creation of content and collateral necessary to communicate and train the National WM&S organization as well as a broad base of customers. Preparation of the content and collateral will require frequent interaction with the content experts such as National’s product-line marketing, regional marketing, sales and FAEs. The delivery of the content will require working closely with product line marketing, WM&S worldwide marketing, frequent conference calls, meetings and travel to National sales locations as well as customers world wide. In addition, the position responsibilities include creating or supporting infrastructure projects for product line marketing processes.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of semiconductor product sales process and operations, detailed knowledge of National’s products and organization, and significant product marketing experience. The successful candidate's experience will include business marketing skills and knowledge of analog product applications. This position requires significant interaction with customers, National’s product-line staff as well as WM&S staff, particularly worldwide marketing and WMS sales & FAE. Personal characteristics highly desirable in this position include creativity, collaborative work, flexibility, and persuasion skills.
Minimum requirements are: 8 years of relevant work experience with a BS or equivalent; 7 years or relevant work experience with MS or equivalent; 4 years or relevant work experience with Ph.D. or equivalent.
