Job Title: Applications Analyst, Senior
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
Job Overview: You will provide the development, engineering, implementation and maintenance of the site’s network communications and personal computers. This will include maintaining all aspects of the network: communications circuits, network infrastructure, servers and back-ups, end-user equipment as well as desktop support. You will also be responsible for researching, selecting and installing new technologies as they become relevant to operations at the site. We expect you to look for ways to improve work, products, functions and processes through on-going analysis and to communicate and share new information, learnings and methods with cross-functional team members to achieve our organization goals and meet the mission.
Employee safety is a major concern at National Semiconductor and all employees are expected to review safety related policies and procedures, note discrepancies and bring them to the attention of their Supervisor/Manager or Safety Department for resolution.
Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of IT experience in network, systems, or information security. Network or Systems certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP. Experience with TCP/IP fundamentals, routers and switches, network firewalls, operating systems (Linux, Windows), servers (Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino) and network virtualization (VMWare), experience with DNS, CHCP and TCP/IP and network management systems or tools. Communicates and works well in an effective team environment.
Clearance Requirements: Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and be able to obtain a top secret clearance.
The Maryland site, located in Annapolis Junction, has supported the U.S. Government in the semiconductor industry for over 20 years.
