Business Strategy Partner – Portfolio Pricing Management
Position Description:
The Business Strategy Partner reports into the Global Business Management Group which is responsible for maximizing the revenue and standard margin for the National Semiconductor product portfolio. The Business Strategy Partner will work across product groups to develop and implement corporate pricing and mix strategies for key existing product portfolios.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Product Group Management, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations to achieve aggressive growth objectives within key established portfolios.
Develop and implement pricing strategies to drive revenue mix and ASP improvements for a $200M+ business.
Manage the value proposition of mature products to deliver consistent and expected growth.
Leverage competitive intelligence in developing effective actions and results.
Define and execute channel management strategy for OEM, Distribution and EMS accounts.
Execute on regular business process reporting and deliver accurate business forecasts.
Administer price lists and price book content to reflect the value proposition.
Experience/Qualifications:
BS or equivalent in Engineering or Business with a working knowledge of electronics technologies preferred but not required.
Min. 5 years of product marketing, sales, product management, or materials management.
Proven business acumen in price management, business negotiations - including contracts for volume purchase agreements, and forecasting.
Expert analytical skills using Microsoft Access and Excel.
Preferred, but not required, experience with regression analysis to determine optimal pricing.
Understand macroeconomic trends, the impact of these trends on our customer's business, and appropriate business strategies to address different market conditions.
High level of drive and initiative; takes full ownership of development and execution of business strategies for their product portfolio.
Articulate and compelling communicator; able to effectively drive strategy implementation across stakeholder groups.
