Job Description:
In this photovoltaic systems development role you will be responsible for working with customers to design and define requirements for photovoltaic systems, preparing studies, and analyzing existing photovoltaic systems. Additional responsibilities will include; determining systems specifications, input/output processes, working parameters for hardware/firmware compatibility, cooordinating the design of subsystems, and integration of the total system. You will also identify, analyze and resolve program support deficiencies, develop and recommend corrective actions, conduct feasibility studies on engineering proposals.
Individual job assignment may place particular emphasis on either hardware or firmware systems. Hardware emphasis requires knowledge of photovoltaic systems, peripherals, components, power electronics, familiarity with system design techniques, and the ability to analyze firmware/hardware trade-offs in system design. Firmware job emphasis will require familiarity with structured program development using program languages such as assembly, as well as simulation tools such as Cadence, Spice, etc.

Requirements are - 5 to 8 years of relevant experience with BS or equivalent; 4 to 7 years with MS or equivalent; 2 to 4 years with Ph.D. or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have industry work experience in the specification, design and analysis of photovoltaic systems.
