Job Description:
National Semiconductor is looking for a highly motivated and experienced System Level Test Development Engineer who would be responsible for supporting manufacturing production test development activities including DFM (design for manufacturability) and DFT (design for test).
As a System Level Test Development Engineer, the individual will play an exciting and technically challenging role in developing manufacturing test infrastructure for PCB and system level production testing which includes:
- Work with cross functional teams to define test strategy and requirements
for board level and system level products
- Work directly with design engineers and contract manufacturers to create
product manufacturing test plan
- Develop test flow, test programs, procedures and diagnostics
(troubleshooting guide) and data acquisition management
- Define, design and develop common test platform in terms of hardware and
software for board level and system level test, including elevated
temperature test (Burn-In, Hot and Cold Test)
- Responsible for test equipment from prototype to volume ramp
- Work with design and reliability teams and to ensure products meet all
DFT , DFM and compliance requirements
- Traveling will be required
Education:
- BSEE with minimum 10 years of working experience or MSEE with 7
years of working experience in a related field
Experience:
- Solid hands-on experience in test development and production ramp-up for
board level and system level products
- Hands-on experience in data acquisition and instrumentation
- In-depth knowledge of electromechanical test fixture design and
fabrication
- Strong knowledge in elevated temperature testing with an emphasis in oven
control, utilities, test software integration and design of test hardware
(racks, trays, cable harnesses etc.)
- Familiarity with PCB layout tools, Linux, Labview, LabWindows CVI,
VeePro and C/C++
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability and Testability principles
- Power Management Applications and Product Engineering
