Job Description:
General Accounting Manager
Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for the accounting area in Germany with all subsidiaries and branches including payroll processing for all European accounting activities according to local and corporate compliance requirements and general ledger.
Key Responsibilities for :
- Treasury for all of Europe
- Bank reconciliation
- Accruals-prepayments monitoring
- Balance sheet reviews
- Year end close and statutory accounts
- Continuous process improvement
- Quarterly tax packages
- Importation process incl. VAT
- Local tax compliance
- Corporate tax calculation
- Monthly and annual VAT returns
- Travel expenses
- AP for Germany and its subsidiaries
- Fixed asset accounting for Germany and it's subs
- Intercompany accounting and reconciliation for all of Europe
- Monthly close preparation for US consolidation,
- Cash funding for other European locations acc. to agreed service agreements
- regular reporting to local and corp. bodies for compliance and review requirements.
- preparation of local Stats, coordination with Tax and audit practices
Qualification:
- Bilanzbuchhalter IHK or equivalent with 6-9 years of experience in an international accounting environment with the required qualifications
- In depth understanding of local and US accounting policies and standards
- Solid business English background
- Solid SAP R/3 and MS-Office skills
