Job Description:
National Semiconductor – Senior Circuit Design Engineer (HSSP) – Salem, NH

Opportunity:

The qualified candidate will be required to work independently to define, implement, test and debug new high speed signal path products, using advanced bipolar and CMOS processes, for target markets. Relevant experience include the design of high performance Data Converters, Amplifiers, PLLs/DLLs among others. He/She should be familiar with Cadence design environment, Spice/Spectre circuit simulators, Matlab or behavioral simulators. The candidate must be able to work well with others as part of a cross-functional development team. He/She must have the ability to multi-task, thus ensuring timely completion of several complex independent tasks.

Responsibilities include:

1) investigating new circuit designs and architectures for implementing high speed signal path products.
2) carrying out detailed analog and mixed-signal circuit analysis using both hand analysis and computer simulation at both the transistor & top level.
3) writing internal and external documents and publications that describe the new circuit architectures and designs
4) interfacing with mask designers, application and test engineers to ensure the proper product release.
5) independently performing the initial silicon investigation, identifying and resolving any problems with the new products
6) working with field application engineers to define new products and support design-in activities with customers throughout the world.

Requirements:

Must have 6 to 10 years experience in analog CMOS or bipolar design. The requirements for this position include M.S.EE with minimum of 6-10 years experience in designing analog and mixed signal IC design for the high speed signal path business unit of National Semiconductor.
